Survanta 4ml Vial (1’s) contains beractant, a natural bovine lung extract used as a pulmonary surfactant therapy in newborns. It is specifically indicated for the prevention and treatment of Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) in premature infants whose lungs are not fully developed.

Survanta works by reducing surface tension in the lungs, helping the air sacs (alveoli) remain open during breathing. This improves oxygen exchange and supports proper lung function in neonates requiring respiratory assistance.
